Sheriff of AttendanceBill Landrigan & Harry Gigous greeted Tonya Douglass.  Sheriff Bill saved her a special seat.

Art Gakstatter shared some of the history of Spring Break Skate.  It is a chance for elementary school kids to skate for free during Spring Break.  The cost is covered between Trace Hansen & our club.  This year Trace is providing $4.50 per skater & our club is providing $2 per skater.  Ann Sweet has generously agreed to provide the tickets again this year.  This is a time consuming task.  Help will be needed the last week of March to deliver the tickets to the schools.

May 20th Car Show:  John Elliott is passing out a sign-up sheet for volunteers. John quoted John Crum when he said “Be There!”  Please give your $25 to John Teevan.  So far, John has 25 $25 checks.  On the other hand, we are asking businesses to sponsor at the $100, $200, or $500 levels.  Give the big checks to Ann Sweet.  So far Ann has over $2000.  Our goal is $5,000.

Dan Metzer’s son & Mike Metzger’s grandson, Jake is joining the Coast Guard.

We could not help but notice Jeff Owens legs.  It is above freezing, so he is wearing his shorts.

Joe Wilkey advised us to only go to Southern Indiana if we are coordinated through a relief agency like his.  If people just show up, they end up using the meager resources in the area without being productive.  World Compassion Network has a Metzger truck west of the High School for donations.  They are already supplying a 70,000 watt generator that the search & rescue teams are using now.
