Program – Jim Swanson, The local Y opened in Kosciusko County in 1965. The YMCA mission is: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Their Strategic Plan is: To be a leader in educating and providing health and well ness, to be inclusive of all sections of the community, and to have a culture of excellence with a commitment to continuous innovations.

The local Y plans to install “urban soccer fields” in the near future.

The “old” Madison Elementary has been purchased by the Y. Within in the next year the building will be outfitted as a 24/7 exercise facility with a full court gymnasium.
