Oratorical Contest: Past Pres. Jeff Owens an-nounced this years contest is 3/11 at 6:30pm at Zimmer. Have students call co-chairs: Jerry Richard-son at 306-0668 or Jeff at 527-1387. Helpers are needed starting at 5:30pm.
Badge Box: Jim Hayes & his father spent many hours making a new badge box with room for 200 badges. Many Thanks for this thoughtful gift!
Student of the Week: Tracy Horrell & Joy Lavender introduced us to Mateah Brown, Gabbie Gage, Fayth Glock, Anna McQuade, Jeremy Ochoa, Sydney Peugh, Paige Price, Rebekah Sibert, & Ali Slabaugh from Lakeland Christian Academy.
Past Pres. George Brennan is looking for participants for the 3/11/11 Community Quiz Bowl in support of the Warsaw Education Foundation.
Everett Nifong announced our Golf Outing will be 6/16 at Stonhenge. Tee sponsors & door prizes are needed.
Co-Chairman John Elliott reminded us our Down-town Cruse In is 5/21/11. The downtown merchant committee will meet shortly. We are to give our $25 to John Teevan for the trophies we sponsor. We also need to ask our employers if they want to spon-sor the show at the $100, $200, or $500 level. Green sponsorship forms are available. Those who are not on a committee need to call John to let him know which subcommittee you will work.
Pres. Joel Wihebrink announced a board meeting by email this month.
Ot Schroeder thanked us for donating food & over $120 to the Octagon Soup-er Bowl.
Pres. Elect John Sullivan & our Optimist Singers en-tertained us at our Valentine’s Dinner last week. Pres. Joel Wihebrink won the newlywed game.
Video editor, Jim Hayes, showed us a clip of a young Martin Becker.
Sergeants-at-Arms: Jeff Ownes, Denny Andrews, Max Mock & Dr. David Haines, entertained us. Mary Ellen Jordan’s son got married. Tony England has a new daughter. The Warsaw swim team had great success. Joy Lavender is happy that LCA’s girls are at the 2nd level of tournament play. John Teevan is happy that he has several trophy & some event sponsors already for our Car Show. Jeff Owens is happy about the thousands of pictures that Trina Hoy has on our website. Josie McGrew is teaching a Facebook 101 class at the Chamber. 50/50: Don Kenipe won $23.
