80 Optimists & 3 guests attended our meeting. Bill Bartol was the guest of Ed Nordstrom; Allyn Decker was the guest of Bob Jackson; & Doug Enyeart was the guest of Lyle Enyeart. Door Greeters: Doug Jones & George Brennan. Prayer was offered by Pete Gano. Pledge was given to the American Flag. Promise yourself was said in unison. Birthday Hon-oree: Millie Andrews. Martin Becker led us in the birthday song with loud results.
Prayer List: William Bartol’s family at the passing of his son. Alan & Kristine Aldefer’s daughter Katherine as she fights her bone & muscle disease.

Stonehenge Golf Outing June 16: Everett Nifong is looking for help & sponsors at the $100, $450, $1000 levels. Please turn in your sponsorship right away, so signs can be made. Josh Gordon, Mike Cusick & Andy Swihart are looking for door prizes & items for the 80 goody bags. Golf is $90 per player. You can sign up as a team or an individual. Dave Illingworth is providing the car for the hole-in-one.
Triathlon: Past Gov. Ron Donkers asked anyone who knows of a motorcyclist with an extra helmet to contact him. Whoever has one of the 2 missing cook-ers needs to get them to Ron. If you are not signed up to work the 25th of June, Luke Becknell can con-nect you. We need everyone to work this event. It raises over $20k each year for the kids in our commu-nity. After we finish our tasks we need to pick up all the litter.
Sherriff of Attendance Bill Landrigan was glad to see Mike Cusick, Nick Deeter, & Jim Walmer.
Video Editor Jim Hayes showed us a clip that shows a haircut will not erase a police video.
Safe Assured ID: Trace Hansen reported that 33 kids were scanned May 26. They are scanning more today. Future events are Day at the Lake in August & Family Safety Day in September.
Visitation Chairman Ron Chambers invited us to visit the Warsaw Noon Club, Monday June 6 at Golden Corral.
Martin Becker reported the Optimist Singers are off until Aug. 10th.
Ann Sweet reported that the Race for Trace that was organized by Octagon member, Nate Stone, raised over $20,000 for the Kosc. Co. Cancer Care Fund. All those who ran or helped were recognized.
Mary Ellen Jordan reported that Joe Wilkey from World Compassion Network needs items & money for Joplin. The truck is at JB’s Furniture 6/1, 6/2, 6/3, & 6/4. Volunteers are needed. www.w-c-n.org
Sergeants-at-Arms: Max Mock, Denny Andrews, Dr. David Haines, & Jeff Owens entertained us. Those with tattoos, city officials, & Buckeye fans were recognized. Jerry Clevenger’s wife is retiring. Bill Landrigan’s granddaughter & Merl Heckaman’s 2 grandsons are going to state in track. Nick Deeter’s son graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Jim Nesbitt’s granddaughter is a lacrosse champion. An-gie Tom invited us to the Mentone Car Show 6/3.

Program: Allyn Decker, Program Director, ex-plained the Graduate Program in Orthopaedic Regulatory & Clinical Affairs (RCA) at Grace. The RCA is part of the OrthoWorx efforts to keep & grow Orthopaedics here. The program was designated as the main workforce need by our local companies.
