Program: Dr. Steven Hollar (Rade in Hoosiers) highlighted some of the similarities & differences be-tween 1954 Milan & 1986 Hickory. 58 of the 73 boys at Milan tried out for the team. Milan made it to the Semi-State in 53. The coach of the South Bend Bearcats was Ray Crowe, Oscar Robertson’s coach. My favorite story is Steve’s call to Charlie saying he wanted to postpone school before getting the part.
