Door Greet-ers: Everett Nifong & Ed Nordstrom. Prayer was offered by Henry Church. Pledge was given to the American Flag. Promise yourself was said in uni-son. Birthday Honorees: Dave Illingworth, Everett Nifong, Joel Wihebrink, Rich Haddad. Martin Becker led us as we sang the birthday song with great re-sults. Mystery Person: Craig Nayrocker reported 11 people shook his hand.

Safe Assured ID: Trace Hansen reported 46 enrol-lees at the Day at the Lake 8/28. Trace needs help at the Family Safety Day at Center Lake Park in 2 hour shifts from 10am to 4pm on Sept 11 Over 100 people were enrolled each of the last 3 years. Trace also needs help at the Taste & Trade Expo at Grace on Oct. 16. Email Trace at tracesk8s@yahoo.com.
Art Gakstatter reported over $10k was raised at the Cruizin Hoosiers car show for the Boys & Girls Club. Art thanked those who helped.

Our Optimist Singers will perform at 6:30pm, Oct. 15 at the Taste & Trade Expo at Grace’s Orthopaedic Capital Center.
Tracy Horrell needs help for our Art in the Park from 10am to 1pm on Sept 11 at Center Lake Park.
Past Pres. Jeff Owens is looking for volunteers to recruit new members for our club at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation’s, Sept. 8th from 2pm to 6pm, ―Get on Board‖ event at Rodeheaver.
President Sam Whitaker reported we will not have a morning meeting 9/29 since our awards banquet will be 6:30pm that night at Stonehenge. Our Optimist Singers will entertain us. Cost is $15 per person.

Ot Schroeder reported Octagon is starting up the 2nd & 4th Friday mornings at the high school. Ot, Jerry Clevenger, Mitch Goon, & Bob Jackson are working with the kids. Encourage your high schools students to participate.

Sergeant-at-Arms: John Barrett collected happy dollars from us. Jim Kessler is happy have a couple 7 footers at Grace. Greg Kralis’ & John Barrett’s ex-perience with justice. Jim Hayes entertained us with videos of 1) Steve Albertson’s visit with Sarah Palin, 2) the famous spousal horse race, & 3) how to flunk a DUI test. Everett Nifong won our 50/50.
