Angie Tom asked us to sign up to work the Santa House. This year it is downtown the 1st weekend of December & at K-Mart the next 2 weekends. Thanks to Art Gakstatter & his helpers for moving it twice as often this year. Angie, Jane Greene, Tammy Keirn, & Trina Hoy are organizing the house.
Past Pres. Bob Jackson & Jim Kessler announced this year’s Hoops For Hope tournament will be Nov 12 & 13 at the Orthopaedic Capital Center. Games are at 6pm & 8pm on 11/12 & 1pm & 3pm on 11/13. Donations will be accepted at the gate. Funds stay in our community through the Kosciusko County Can-cer Care Fund. Pres. Joel Wihebrink reported our board donated $700 to Hoops For Hope.
Jennifer Shepherd invited us to the Great High School Whodunit fundraiser for the WHS PTA on 11/30 at 7pm at the Warsaw H.S. Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20.
Ron Chambers led a visit to the Middlebury club last Friday.
Luke Becknell asked us to bring our canned goods & donations for cleaning supplies this month.
Merl Heckaman is looking for help ringing the bell for Salvation Army. Our day is Nov. 27.
The College Optimists sold calendars for $8.
Past Pres. George Brennan invited us to the CASA Wine Tasting fundraiser 11/12 at the Biomet Hanger.
Martin Becker invited us to the free Grace Commu-nity Wind Ensemble ―Dance to the Music‖ concert 11/18 18 at 7:30pm at the Warsaw HS Performing Arts Center.
President Joel Wihebrink reminded us to bring money for the Winona Lake Cub Scout home baked sale Nov 24.
President Joel Wihebrink announced a board meet-ing 11/15/10.
Sergeant-at-Arms: Jeff Owens, Max Mock, Denny Andrews & Dr. David Haines entertained us. Dr. Haines read some military truisms to us. Bill Landri-gan & the supporters of Right-To-Life were honored. Those not wearing their Optimist pins were fined.
50/50: Kevin Weaver gave his $30 winnings to us.

Program: Martin Becker led our Optimist Singers as they sang the Star Spangled Banner, The Mansions of the Lord, This Land is Your Land, & America. Coach Bob Lichtenwalter told of his father’s & his service in the Army. Jim Hayes played videos that honored our veterans. Martin Becker played Taps. Martin invited all to the Lakeview Middle School Vet-erans program 11/11 at 10am & 7pm.
