  • 34th Annual Championship Big Wheel Race will be held on Friday, August 1st. Registration is at 5:45pm and the race begins at 7pm. (Sponsors: Warsaw Breakfast Optimist, Penguin Point & Warsaw Parks & Recreation). Please see David Meier for more information.
  • The 2014-2015 Optimist Directory will underway soon. New pictures will be taken Aug. 6th-Sept 3rd. Ads are due by September 10th. Update Member Information deadline is Sept. 17th. Committee & Project info due by Sept. 17th. Please see Dr. Jason Rich and Jim Hayes for more information.
  • Our Optimist Singers will start up again on August 13th.
  • Optimist Club Visitation next Monday, August 4th at 11:45am Golden Corral with the Warsaw Noon Optimist Club.

Spotlight:

Jim Reeve representing Cub Scout Pack 3736, gave a check in the amount of $100 back to Optimist for allowing the Cub Scout Pack to be involved in many of the events and help them raise funds. They really appreciate our group and wanted to give back to Optimist!

Sergeants-at-Arms: Luke Becknell and Larry Bishop entertained us:

  • $1 Charge-
    • Sam Whitaker for calling David Meier’s cell phone during his announcement of the Big Wheel Race.
    • Dave Turner, was the lucky one at his table to be charged.
    • Mike Cox for Sarah Masterson’s “ad” during her 1st Reading this morning.

    • Jim Reeve gave $1 to announce Cub Scout Pack 3736’s Annual Yard Sale will be held this Saturday, August 2nd. They are looking for donations and can come and pick things up if need be.
    • Juergen Voss gave to announce that the Water Ski Club will be hosting the National Championship this Saturday. Come on out and watch them it will be a great show!
