Committee Reports & Announcements:
Triathlon – Ron Donkers is passing the torch to Paula Deming who is taking over as Director of the Optimist Triathlon. She will be traveling to Denver for certification.
Austin Donovan is the new Assistant Treasurer for the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club board
Elves for Elders – Jenny Lucht announced that all packages had already been delivered and no volunteers were needed after the meeting
Ann Sweet announced that our morning server, Beth Reeves, is home from the hospital and could use continued prayers during her recovery.
White Elephant Auction – The annual white elephant auction will take place during the December 27 meeting. Remember to bring an item from home on that day for the auction.
Oratorical Contest – Members are encouraged to recruit youth for the contest to take place January 28th. The contest flyer and applications can be downloaded by clicking here. (Contact Chris Mahan if you have questions)
50/50: $49 to winner Joe Thallemer who donated the amount back to the club scholarship fund
Sergeants-at-Arms: Brooke Hamstra, Gina Voelz, Sam Whitaker
While Jeff Rocket and Darin Maierle were virtually tied for the craziest socks of the day contest, Sam Whitaker outshone everyone with his twinkling Christmas tree stocking cap. Other highlights included Brooke fining Marty for not mentioning her in his poem, and President Steve Hollar being fined for not introducing guests early enough.
