Pam Galloway conducted:

  • 2nd Reading-Jeanine Corson who was sponsored by David Robertson.

Program:  Randee Salisbury from Scholastic presented this morning.  She spoke about the different programs and resources they have available to help children read and to start building their home library.  Thank you for the information and for sharing!

Committee Reports/Announcements:

  • District Meeting will be on Aug. 20th at Das Essenhaus.  Please contact Michele Bickel if you are interested in attending.
  • We need help with the Optimist Directory, please contact Jim Hayes if you can help.  Also contact him if any of your contact information has changed.
  • Trina Hoy will be taking new photos for the Directory.
  • Optimist Directory is in the works, please contact Jason Rich regarding your contact information or advertising opportunities.
  • Club Visitation on Aug. 9th at the Plymouth Optimist Club went really well.  Thank you to those members who could attend.
  • Randy Polston is looking for volunteers to help bring back “Back To The Days” the event will be held on Friday, September 30th at Harrison Elementary School.  Contact him if you are interested.

CEO Report:

Jennifer Kerns introduced Frank Grose as our CEO this morning!  Thank you for your commitment to our club and community Frank!!!
