Announcements:

Car Show: Dr. Jenny Lucht announced sponsors are still needed for the May 20th event. Both event and trophy sponsors are needed. Sponsorship deadline is May 14th to allow time for recognition in newspaper ad. 

Triathlon: Volunteers are needed for the upcoming triathlon on June 30th. Also, if you are interested in participating you can sign up online at: https://triathlon.warsawoptimist.org/registration/

Pam Galloway reminded everyone of the 60th birthday party for the club to be held Wednesday evening, September 26. Flashback photo of the day was John Kirkpatrick.

Golf Outing: Stu Wysong asked club members to consider donating items for door prizes or for goodie bags to be handed out to golfers at the June 14th event.

50/50: $95 with $47 to the winner Marv Miller

Sergeants at Arms: Brooke Hamstra, Gina Voelz, Jeff Owens – Brooke fined half the club for talking during the induction, fines were handed out to Ball State and Purdue fans/alumni.

Program: Dave Matthews of MatthewsLLC presented information on the Buffalo Street Project. The Buffalo Street Project will nearly connect Central Park to downtown Warsaw with residental homes and a mixed use building. Homes will include MEWS (small town homes), townhouses and larger city homes. The mixed use building will house area for a restaurant, retail space and apartments. Construction on the initial units is expected to begin in the next year. There will be home owner’s association for the development. Residents will pay HOA fees for outside maintenance.
