Jeff Neumann is passing a sign up sheet for our Val-entine’s Dinner, February 10th at 6:30pm at Stone-henge. Cost is $15 per person. Our Optimist Singers will perform. There is no morning meeting that day.
Jeff Owens reminded us of our Oratorical Contest February 12, 2010 at Zimmers.
Our New Car Show Fundraiser: Call Art Gakstatter to help with our new car show fundraiser. Our 1st an-nual event is May 22nd in downtown Warsaw. Cruisin’ Hoosiers will help us. We hope to make sev-eral thousand dollars.
President Sam Whitaker invited us to our next Board Meeting on January 11.
Lt. Governor Jim Reeve invited us to the District Meeting January 30th in Anderson.
50/50: In January we are doing a 50/50 drawing each week. At the end of the month we will vote to see if we will continue it. This week Clint Harris won $53
Stacey Cox saluted: Angie Tom, who joined in 2001 & has 4 years perfect attendance, is our chair of our Santa House & our part of the Winona 4th of July. Angie is VP of our club & a past board member. An-gie has started a charity getting medical equipment to mission fields. Art Gakstatter joined in 1993 & has 15 years perfect attendance, chairs our Boys & Girls Club Car Show, Spooktakular, Spring Break Skate, Winona 4th of July, & Santa House. Art is a board member & past VP, along with being Optimist of the Year twice. Art stores most of our supplies & is a co-chair of programs. Art has been to racing school. Stacey needs stories on Marvin Miller & Scott Whitaker for next week.
Sherriff Bill Landrigan: Is working to get us here.
Sergeant-at-Arms: Lyle Enyeart, John Barrett, & Merl Heckaman entertained us as they raised money. Jim Walmer & Ed Nordstrom each have new grandsons. Fred Nieter is celebrating his 59th anni-versary. Tammy Keirn was in the top band 10 years ago. Ot Schroeder drove to North Liberty to expedite Mary Ann Gradeless’ closing. Bill Landrigan is shar-ing the Optimist Creed with his Eisenhower students. Josh Gordon is working in the Tower Bank award winning building. John Teevan is glad classes are starting in Indiana’s prisons. Suzie Light informed us about OrthoWorx. Kosci-usko County Community Foundation & the Orthope-dics Capital Foundation work with OrthoWorx. The Lilly Endowment is funding OrthoWorx. OrthoWorx is an initiative to advance & support growth & innova-tion within our orthopedics sector. OrthoWorx will enhance community interests that serve our orthope-dics sector’s growth.
