Sherriff Bill Landrigan has called many of us whether we have missed or not. It was good to see Dave Wolkins for a change & David Haines as usual.
Everett Nifong has Stonehenge Golf Outing applica-tions. The event is June 17 at 11am. Cost is $360 per foursome. Everett can match you to others. We have 15 teams so far. Dave Illingsworth is donating the hole in one car. Jim Brennan at WRSW has publi-cized our event. Andy Swihart & Mike Cusick are col-lecting door prizes and goody bags for our golf out-ing. Cash towards prizes is also welcome.
Trace Hansen is looking for a set-up & tear-down head & a volunteer coordinator for Safe Assured.
Call George Brennan if you want to golf 6/19 at the Middlebury Club’s outing. Cost is $60 per person.
Optimist Singers: Director Martin Becker congratu-lated our singers & thanked Dorene Fussle. The next practice is scheduled for the middle of August.
Art Gakstatter invited us to the June 4th Mentone Cruise-In at the Egg Festival from 4 to 7 p.m.
President Sam Whitaker asked EVERYONE to come to our 6/16 meeting for a VOTE on whether we should continue or discontinue our Christ-mas Tree sales. We will have OVER 90 members present for this meeting! As long as YOU come, it will happen!
Past Gov. Ron Donkers reminded us of our Triath-lon 6/26. We are expecting over 700. Last year was a record at 640. Contact Dr. Jason Rich to be a sponsor or donate prizes. Next week is the deadline to sign up for a T-shirt.
Stacey Cox saluted: Dr. Jason Rich, who joined in 2001, has 7 years perfect attendance, chairs our di-rectory & the sponsors of our Triathlon. He is a past secretary for our club & has fond memories of selling Christmas Trees. Next week Stacey will salute Jim Nesbitt & Everett Nifong.
Sergeant-at-Arms: Ot Schroeder commended Doug Ogle & Bill Landrigan on the success of Cen-dall Ogle & Kirstin Quick at the last track meet. They are going to state as highly ranked.

Program: Our Optimist Singers sang the Star Spangled Banner, This Land is Your Land, My Coun-try tis of Thee, Danny Boy, Gloria Halleluiah, Amer-ica the Beautiful, Mansions of the Lord, Yankee Doo-dle, Give My Regards to Broadway, You’re a Grand Old Flag. Martin Becker directed & played To the Colors and Taps. Dorene Fussle accompanied on the piano. We closed with a salute to our veterans.
Dave Illingsworth exhorted us to 1) be positive, 2) trust God, & 3) say our creed. He gave a testimonial of how this helped him with the recent Toyota press problems. He reminded us that we need this too, since the world as we know it is changing.
