Everett Nifong reported we have 20 teams for our 6/17 Stonehenge Golf Outing. He recognized those who put it on.
Trace Hansen is looking for a set-up & tear-down head & a volunteer coordinator for Safe Assured.
Everett Nifong presented Tracie Hodson from Bea-mon Home a $250 check from us.
Tracy Furnival commended Ot Schroeder on his com-mittee to curb drop-outs. Baker Youth Club / Big Brothers—Big Sisters need 80 mentors to spend 1 hour per week with an at-risk student. See Tracy!
We voted 71 to 27 in favor of discontinuing our Christmas Tree sales.
Triathlon on 6/26: Past Gov. Ron Donkers reported we expect as many as 700 or more. It was good to have Bret Wolf here, so we could express our appre-ciation for the great debt of gratitude we owe him & Indiana Vac Form for our new bike racks! Next week we will pack the registration bags. After next week’s meeting we will finish the bags at Ron & George’s garage at Winona & Logan. Denny Andrews new signs are all finished. Some chairpersons who are looking for help are: Mary Ellen Jordan, Chris Wig-gins, Jim Nesbitt, Merl Heckaman, & Bob Jackson.
Dave Meier reminded us the Penguin Point / Opti-mist Big Wheel Race is 8/7 downtown at Center & Buffalo. Registration is at 9am. The race starts at 10:30am.
Our board & Jim Lancaster are paying for a boy to go to the Indiana State Police camp.
Our Jim Reeve as scoutmaster presented us with a check for $50 from his cub scouts.
Stacey Cox saluted: Jim Reeve, who joined in 2003, has 4 years perfect attendance, is our Lieuten-ant Governor, is a past board member, past Presi-dent, greeter chair, has worked Triathlon, Christmas Tree sales, & Big Wheel Race. Next week Stacey will salute Gary Tanner & Rick Kerlin.
Sergeant-at-Arms: Lyle Enyeart with Dr. Charles Hollar reminded us that John Barrett worked a mater-nity case. At which point Jim Walmer came to John’s defense, explaining why a client would need a mater-nity test. 50/50: Jennifer Hoag won $36.
