Program: Suzie Light Executive Director of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation told us how they are a vehicle for donor’s charitable dreams. The Foundation is a 501c3, so donors do not have to go through the hassle of setting up a fund from scratch. The idea is that the good done can be for-ever by doing it through permanent endowments. The idea is that grants can be made forever if the endowment never runs out. Our own fund through the Foundation is an example. It started with $21,755 16 years ago. In those years $35,338 was awarded. We now have $70,342 in the fund. There are many ways to give to the Foundation. John Elli-ott donates to a fund that goes to a favorite charity of a person he wants to honor instead of sending flow-ers.
