Membership: Past Lt Gov Mary Ellen Jordan in-ducted Lisa Cassel whom she sponsored.
Boys & Girls Club: Luke Becknell needs us to sign up to buy gifts for boys or girls of a particular age. Wrap the gifts & label them as to sex and age. Bring them to our 12/15 meeting or to Today’s Headlines before 12/18. The gifts should cost around $9 or $10 each. Our club along with Trace Hansen & North Point Cinemas are donating skating & movie passes. Those who can not buy a gift can donate at next week’s meeting.
Angie Tom asked us to sign up to work the Santa House. Today Art Gakstatter & helpers are moving it from downtown to K-Mart. Thanks to Jim Hayes for setting up the sound system, Ot Schroeder & Jerry Clevenger for organizing the Octagon elves, & Art Gakstatter & his helpers for moving it twice as often this year. Angie, Jane Greene, Tammy Keirn, Trina Hoy, & Cathy Mullett are organizing the house.
Owen’s is donating $5 per Christmas Tree we sell the 1st 3 weekends after Thanksgiving. Sam Whitaker thanked those who sold trees. He is look-ing for volunteers to sell trees at Owens East this coming weekend.
Martin Becker invited all to the free Grace Holiday Concert at 7:30pm on December 10 at Rodeheaver.
Our Optimist Singers will perform with the Grace Col-lege Community Wind Ensemble, the Chain O Lakes Barbershop Chorus, & the Holiday Brass Ensemble.
Our Optimist Singers will sing at our December 22 meeting and at 7am at BMacs on December 24th.
Penguin Point gratuities for our servers. Next week we will collect for our wonderful servers.
President Joel Wihebrink announced a Board Meet-ing at 7pm on Monday, December 13.
John Sullivan is donating Christmas CDs for a $10 donation to our club.
Like old times, it was good to see three generations of Hollars at our meeting this morning.

Program: Ben Barkley’s 4 teams from his robotics class showed us parts of their presentations on or-thopedics problems and solutions. Our 4 teams rep-resent us well. There are only 48 teams that made it to state in Indiana. We have 1/12th of the teams that made it to state. Presentations about: 1) back stabi-lizers, 2) arthroscopic knee replacements, 3) micro-bubble injections into growth plates to help limbs grow, 4) osteoarthritis treatment by smart foam that becomes artificial cartilage.
