Kristen Quick was the guest of Bill Landrigan; Sierra Derrossett was the guest of Lecia Derrossett; Ryan & Chad Goon were the guests of Mitch Goon; Kyle Showley was the guest of George Paton; Steve Haberman was the guest of Jim Bricker; Michelle Box-ell was the guest of Jane Wear; & Kim Sharpe was the guest of Mike Hall. Door Greeters: Jim Bricker & Lecia Derrossett. Prayer was offered by Ken Ander-son. Pledge was given to the American Flag. Prom-ise yourself was said in unison. Birthday Honor-ees: Mary Ellen Jordan & Jeff Owens. Dr. David Haines led us in the birthday song with our usual re-sults.

Dave Meier reported this year’s Big Wheel Race is Aug. 6. Set up is at 8:30am, Registration starts at 9am. The races start at 11am. We provide the labor & Penguin Point provides the prizes. Several more volunteers are needed.
Our Club Directory editor, Dr. Jason Rich asked us to put a check mark on our listing in this years book if there are no changes.
Sherriff of Attendance, Bill Landrigan, has been hard at work. He was glad to see John Teevan & Harry Gigous.
Martin Becker reported the Optimist Singers are off until Aug. 10th.
Although we will have a meeting next week, there will not be an Optibullette.

Michelle Boxell reported Cardinal Services Duck Race will be at 11am July 30th at the channel at the Village at Winona.
Luke Becknell invited us to participate in this year’s 2 Bourbon & Back cycling for Cystic Fibrosis on Sept. 10. www.becknell.org
Bill Landrigan announced Right To Life is holding an Auction For Life Aug. 4 at 5:30 at Sacred Heart. To donate nice items call Bill at 267-3860.
Fred Nieter reported the American Junior Golf As-sociation AJGA is holding their Junior Open at Stonehenge Aug. 1 to 4. Volunteers are needed. Contact Tad Nieter at 527-6888. There are also op-portunities to play with future pros in the Junior-Am. This event will raise money for the Warsaw Junior Golf Foundation.

Sergeants-at-Arms: Dr. David Haines, Denny An-drews, & Jeff Owens. Gene & Maxine Groninger are celebrating their 65th anniversary 7/28. Dr. KT Kishan is recovering from his daughter’s wedding. Dr. David Haines, John Teevan, & Dr. Jenny Lucht are all welcoming new grandchildren. Dr. Haines demonstrated that speaking English causes heart attacks. Chuck Kane is celebrating Bowling Week July 30 to Aug. 6. Grandpa, Bill Landrigan, is proud of Kristin Quick who was 4-H princess & Kosciusko Fair Queen & is President-Elect of Octagon. Mary Ellen Jordan reported the W.L. Park (that we use for our Triathlon) may be changed. The Park Board meets at 6:30pm 8/1. Juergen Voss thanked the club & individuals who support the Lake City Skiers.
Program: Pierceton Postmaster, Kim Sharpe re-minded us that the Postal Service in not supported by taxes. The Postal Service would be in the black if they were free to operate without artificial extra ex-penses. Warsaw Pulblic Library is hosting two postal seminars August 10.
